Book project

We got a new project recently for contextual studies, a book project where we make a book with a certain theme, and which relates to our chosen discipline, mine being Print.
My theme for the book is origami. I'm very interested in origami and the process of making it. At first I had the idea of printing the diagram of the origami on one page and a print of the actual thing on the opposite page, with the name of it in Japanese and English underneath.

Today, we visited Galway City Museum, as there is an exhibition there on book art. Most of the work was 3D in some way, sculptural. A work there which I liked is called My Lovely Stones by Anna King.

That made me think of actually making the origami, but I'm still not sure how I could make that work, would I have it so it's able to fold down(like a pop-up book) or I could lay out the book in a less traditional way. I'm still thinking about that one.

So after we got to look around, we started making a piece as a response to one of the pieces. I used the ones above, and this was what I made.
